It looked to be a floating sun. Made of rocks and it did not seem impressed with him. Or the situation. It was a fire type so he sent out a similar type. The crooked tailed lizard came from her ball and roared at the rock. Dawnson doesn't know what Crooktail said, but it caused a look of anger to cross the rock's face. It started to flash and he knew what was about to happen before the lizard was able to figure it out for herself. Dawnson grabbed the lizard and covered her as the rock exploded. The smoke cleared and the rock was on the ground, clearly defeated by its own attack. Looking over, the look of pity in Roxanne's eyes made him make a decision. He tossed a Pokeball at the Pokemon, hoping to find it a caring owner.

Almost like it was waiting for their time to shine, out popped not only a small alien but a bunny. The alien made a series of weird noises. The bunny twirled, offered an egg to Dawnson and did a curtsy. He sent the crooked tailed Charmander back to her ball. He sent out Shimmer the Lairon, who roared as she charged forward, knocking the alien aside with a Headbutt. Dawnson roared out her name and she stopped in her tracks. The Elgyem looked at the Lairon and shot a beam of purple energy at the Lairon. The Lairon shook her head and Dawnson ordered Metal Burst, attacking the alien with sharp pieces of metal.

The Buneary jumped up to attack and Dawnson ordered Shimmer to get out of the way. The heavy Pokemon moved surprisingly fast and the Buneary crashed into the ground. It was hurt from it's landing and was rather upset looking now. A faint limp was obvious from the brown rabbit. It made some sort of face that was designed to get pity, Dawnson was pretty sure. Shimmer didn't seem to care and waited for orders. Wanting to get back to the date, he commanded a Rock slide and both Pokemon were buried in a large pile of rocks. Both were defeated, eyes closed as the two groaned in pain underneath the mound of rocks generated from the battle happy steel plated beast.

Before he could turn from them, Roxanne declared she knew some people who were looking for those very Pokemon. She pouted her lip and batted her eyelashes and it made him weak in the knees. How could he tell her no when she gave him that look? He couldn't, that was the answer. Sighing, he dug around in his bag as Shimmer did a victory dance around the two defeated Pokemon. He eventually found two Pokeballs in his bag. Looking back at his date, he muttered she better split the profits as he tossed the two Pokeballs. Shimmer stopped, looking around confused as their defeated opponents faded into a beam of reddish light. She looked annoyed that her taunting was interrupted.

That Shiinotic was seriously creeping him out. It was just staring at him, not moving a breath. But Dawnson knew better then to think it was a simple plant Pokemon. Shiinotic aren't just creepy looking, if the research is to be believed. Dawnson sent out Shimmer. She looked at him, clearly concerned as the Shiinotic shone a light on her. Dawnson commanded a Rock Slide with far more confidence then he felt. And still, even after the barrage of rocks, it stayed right where it was. It seemed content to just shine a light on the Lairon and stand there.

Another Rock Slide and it finally seemed to shake from where it was. The thing gave him the most curious look before smiling at them both. Completely and thoroughly disturbed, Dawnson didn't even care that his voice squeaked when he commanded the Headbutt that sent it far far away from him and Roxanne. He comforted the Lairon, making sure she was fine before turning to look at Roxanne with a sheepish grin on his face.
"Interesting date?"

He looked at the pink pig and sighed. More of a groan, really. Of all the places to go on a date, they weren't looking for one with so many wild Pokemon around. He ordered Shimmer to use a Rock Slide to ground the Munna. With a squeal, the Munna was barraged with rocks. It glowed red and Dawnson commanded a Headbutt and Shimmer obliged, smacking the pig away. Dawnson turned and apologized for the frequent interruptions. Roxanne giggled and tried to assure him she was having a good time. Hard to believe, really. He offered his hand and deeper into the festivities they went.

Dawnson was grateful Roxanne was so understanding. He was even holding her hand and the moon looked so big and bright, it was just so. Wait a minute. That was no moon. That's a Lunatone! He sent out Rockstar and with a belligerent growl, the Pupitar danced around the false moon, draconic energy pulsing around her. The Lunatone grew glossier, like a polished rock. Dawnson commanded Rockstar to show her outrage to the Lunatone and she happily obliged. The moon was knocked off it's course and didn't have a chance to respond before being struck again. It got the message it was interrupting and flew off, wabbling in the air as it did so.

The night was winding down and it seemed that everything had finally settled down. Roxanne slipped her hand within theirs and he felt his cheeks flare instantly. Before he had a chance to say anything, a red blob appeared. Dawnson sighed and with his free hand pointed out the blob of red to Rockstar. The Pupitar nodded her entire body and leaped into action, a pulse of dark grey energy enveloping the red Minior. The Minior shook and shot out a bright yellow white star at Rockstar. She was not impressed and Dawnson 'suggested' an Ancient Power. She obliged almost gleefully, burying the red star shaped Pokemon in rocks. Another Dark Pulse and the orb was too weak to continue.

It was odd, how the Minior didn't try and explode. From his research, that is what they are known for. They see trouble, they make an explosive diversion and escape. He tossed a Pokeball at it, wanting to study it more. It was a little tricky, grabbing the ball one handed but he managed and they even managed to get the ball to hit the Pokemon with a bright flash.
