As Lucia wandered through the festival grounds, she blinked as a Mareep appeared out of nowhere, though she was quick to notice it offering a colored egg. She couldn't help but smile at the display, graciously accepting the gift. She wasn't the biggest fan of boiled eggs, but there was no way she could say no to such a cute Pokemon. "Thank you very much, little Mareep." Just as she takes the egg, however, another wild Pokemon shows up from out of nowhere and begins harassing the Mareep. Lucia was not amused, to say the least.

"Oi, don't you dare act like I'm not here." The Lycanroc glanced at Lucia and scoffed, prompting a sigh from Lucia. "Alright then, we'll do this the hard way. Big Top, you're up!" The Lycanroc looked at the small Pokemon and laughed; which was about the response Lucia expected. Boy was she in for a rude surprise. "Use Psychic." The Mime Jr nodded, taking aim at the Lycanroc and letting loose a powerful blast of Psychic energy. The Rock-type was caught off-guard by the sudden attack, and suddenly found herself taking the fight a lot more seriously.

Summoning a single stone from seemingly out of nowhere, the Lycanroc grabs it and tosses it at the Mime Jr. However, the small Pokemon was able to quickly move to the side and a dance-like motion, allowing him to avoid the attack. "Very nice, now let's hit it again. Use Psychic with all you got!" The Mime Jr nodded, unleashing yet another blast of psychic energy and hitting hard. The Lycanroc stumbled backwards, staring at the small Pokemon in disbelief. It was hard to imagine so much power coming from such a tiny Pokemon.

Pulling out all the stops, the claws on the Lycanroc's feet began to glow brightly, leaping at the Mime Jr and this time hitting her mark. Upon landing feet-first on the small creature, she immediately jumped off with great force. The attack did a lot of damage, but the but the potential side effect was avoided, prompting a sigh of relief from Lucia. He was hurting a bit, but the Mime Jr was still standing. Lucia nodded. "One more should do it. Use Psychic!" After one last psychic blast, the Lycanroc was visibly struggling to stay standing.

Seeing some potential with the trouble-making Rock-type, Lucia smiled and nodded, producing an Ultra Ball "Alright...you're coming with me." With a toss, the weakened Pokemon was pulled into the black and yellow orb. While waiting to see if that sticks, she turns to the Mareep, and smiles. "You should be okay to leave now." However, the Electric-type, having been inspired by the battle, let out a small huff and shook its head. He then moved in closer to Lucia. It didn't take her long to figure out what it was trying to say.

"...you...want to come with me?"

The Mareep nodded vigorously, prompting a smile from Lucia. Once again, it was hard to say no to such a cute Pokemon. Plus, she could already think of some ways in which a Mareep would be useful. Thus, with a nod, she pulled out an empty Poke Ball and lightly tapped it against the Mareep's head, using just enough force to trigger the capturing mechanism.

Lucia smiled as both of the balls containing her new Pokemon clicked, indicating a successful capture, and were immediately transferred to the PC. However, she was in for a pleasant surprise when her Mime Jr started glowing brightly, the battle having been enough to push him over the edge and finally finally evolving. With a smile, Lucia watched intently, wondering what the small Pokemon would evolve into. The final result was...interesting. "Huh...that was...not what I expected. But I'm still proud of you, Big Top! You've definitely earned it!"

The newly-evolved Mr Mime smiled cheerfully and started doing some sort of celebratory dance. Lucia smiled at the her Pokemon and continued to walk along, enjoying the sights and sounds of the festival. One Pokemon in particular that caught her attention was a Munna floating along and minding its business. That said, it didn't do anything to stand out, and she had no particular interest in catching it. As such, she went along her way, leaving it alone.

After a while, Lucia did end up returning her Mr.Mime, as it proved easier to get through the crowd without a large clown-mime...thing in tow. Along the way, she found herself feeling a bit peckish, so she stopped at one of the various stalls and grabbed a bag of fried doughnut holes. Not the healthiest "meal" choices, but they were cheap and they smelled heavenly. Besides, at things like this, you're supposed to eat an unhealthy amount of food that's terrible for you. Otherwise, what's the point of going in the first place.

It was in this moment that she was approached by two other Pokemon. Two rather adorable ones at that. The Skiddo, in particular, offered Lucia another egg, prompting a smile. "Well aren't you two just adorable? Thank you very much~" She graciously accepted the offering, then decided that she might as well offer more than simple words of thanks to the two cute Pokemon. Reaching into her bag of doughnut holes, she pulled two of them out, holding them out to the two Pokemon in an offering "Here; as thanks for the tasty-looking egg."

The two creatures seemed slightly baffled by the offering; was it really that surprising? All the same, they seemed to cautiously accept the gift, the Cleffa being the first to take a bite of the fried, sugary treat. Almost instantly, the small Pokemon's eyes lit up and he began chowing down on it enthusiastically. This prompted the Skiddo to do the same, which resulted in her giving a very similar reaction. Lucia smiled brightly; the whole sight was so cute that she couldn't help but offer them a second treat, which both of them happily accepted.

With a smile and a nod, Lucia decided it was time to move on. The display that the two Pokemon had shown put her in quite a happy mood, so she was eager to continue along and see what else the Festival had to offer. "You two take care of yourselves, alright?" With that, she started walking off...only to realize a moment later that the two Pokemon were following her. At first she thought it was in her head, and so she didn't think much of it. But when it continued to happen, she turned around. Sure enough, they were still there, happily following her.

It seemed that, without even meaning to, Lucia had won the two Pokemon over with her offerings of tasty treats. She was so used to having to battle a wild Pokemon in order to catch it that it didn't even cross her mind that this was something that could happen. Granted, there was her Ambipom and, just today, the Mareep she captured, but she won their gratitude by fighting off a wild Pokemon who had been harassing them. So even keeping those two in mind, this was still something quite new to her. And yet, maybe this wouldn't be so bad.

Gogoat, the Pokemon that Skiddo evolves from, was well known for being an excellent mount for those who enjoy riding Pokemon. Her Arcanine did the job well enough, but it wasn't exactly a smooth ride. Gogoats, on the other hand, were naturally built for it, and seemed to have an instinctive knack for ensuring the ones riding them are comfortable even while they moved at a high speed. As for the Cleffa...well, admittedly Lucia wasn't sure what she'd do with him. But she could probably think of somethings. Besides, there's no way she could split these two.

With a nod, she grabs two empty Poke Balls, one in each hand, and holds them out to the two Pokemon. "What do you say? Wanna come with me? No doubt we'll have plenty of chances to have lots of tasty treats together." The two Pokemon hesitated for a moment; even when they were willing to be caught, the process of being captured itself was still an intimidating prospect. But ultimately, the offer sounded too good to pass up. Thus, the Pokemon nodded, and Lucia gently tapped them on the head with the balls; just enough force to trigger the capturing mechanism.
