"I'd say...!" She began, her words staggered as she'd started using hand swipes to better aim her mind and lead to stronger swings, stepping forward with each strong swing as she slowly backed the pirate up to the edge. "I'm doing..pretty well! All things consi-DERED!" One final swing and the pirate's sword was knocked out of his hands, Marceline's mentally held blade pushed towards his neck till he took the hint and jumped overboard himself, the green haired woman holding a confident smile till the cry of her togepi caught her attention, the small pokemon struggling to hold it's own against the large boldore, not managing to pull out a good enough move with metronome.
"Gardevoir, back up Togepi!"
Thankfully the togepi had at least done enough to eliminate the boldore's sturdy, Gardevoir teleporting between the two, swiping aside a shotgun blast of power gems before striking the Boldore hard in turn with her psychic blast, the rock pokemon hurtling towards the edge of the ship, luckily not flying over the edge where it would sink but knocked out all the same.
"Numbers are starting to go down...what you thinking? Keep playing good guys?" She was careful to choose a loud moment in a distance clash of league and pirates to speak so as not to be overheard by them

As Marceline and her respective Pokemon finished off their opponents, Orion started to move back towards her again. The question, however, had his gaze flickering around. “You know being a hero might be good publicity~ And we can always blame anything missing on the pirates,” he winked. Having a Gardevoir on their side made that a possibility, heh. Who would notice if she slipped away and brought a few crates back down to the speeder and hid them well enough? And if that went badly they could just erase their minds completely, yeah? Yeah.
“Roll, Poise, keep defending the sailors,” Orion went on much louder. The Sealeo gave a quick nod, and the Toxapex released a low obscure sound. They could handle some of the weaker Pokemon and their weaker human counterparts without much order. Orion’s attention shifted instead to the cargo area. “Let’s make sure they don’t steal anything!” he called to Marceline before starting that way. Just as he made his way, however, a giant bird came downwards screaming and ready. Ugh, really? Gritting his teeth, he’d release an Ampharos to take care of it.
Just as the Fearow came down with a Drill Run ready to do some serious damage, the Ampharos released a Discharge. The wave rocked through the area, and the bird yelped in pain before crashing to the deck. The bird struggled and squirmed trying to get back up in the air, but unfortunately, she found herself paralyzed. The Ampharos looked briefly sympathetic. Sorry, sorry she didn’t mean to just electrocute the daylights out of you, she just— “Marie..” Ok ok ok. Sweet dreams, sweetie. The Fearow received yet another vicious shock, and Orion turned his attention back to the lower deck.
Walking down into the hull, Orion would find still more fighting awaiting them. Several men were punching, kicking, and shoving one another while others were scrambling to grab at cargo and get up and out. A small half-laugh escaped from Orion as he realized so few of them had Pokemon out at the moment? (Or maybe those Pokemon were some of the looser ones up on deck, maybe?) “Let’s see,” he’d muse dropping down the last couple of steps and running at the men again. Raising a fist, he swung it at the back of one of the pirate’s heads causing him to crumble forward on the sailor he had been fighting. Another one swung sideways at him, but Orion stepped sideways, raised a leg, and swung it hard at his side. He could handle a few Pokemonless humans.

"Aw, and here I thought you might go for the rougher option.~" She teased Orion in a carefully quiet tone, flinging away the sword she'd been using with her telekenetic grip, the blade embedding itself in a wooden crate that made up some of the ship's cargo. Of course it was the better plan, and saved them some trouble in wiping league memories should they need to...or just disposing of witnesses should that be easier. All the same, she couldn't help but send a light smirk Orion's way. "Nik really has been domesticating you hasn't he?~ First cooking and now you're playing the good guy?~ Should I expect a speech about the word of Arceus soon?~"
Of course she couldn't tease him for too long, as Orion rushed off to protect the cargo (and maybe steal what they needed on the sly, she couldn't really tell, she had to make sure the league officials remained as safe as possible so they came out of this looking good themselves. As one of the league agents seemed to struggle with a pirate, Marcie tossed out another pokeball, this time releasing her rather theatrical Roserade, the rose pokemon striking a dynamic pose in the face of the opposing Bannette, thrusting forward a bouquet with a long blade of poison sticking out between the flowers in the form of a venomous thorn. The two pokemon smirked at one another, each seeming to have a more playful nature and seeing it in one another, Marcie was almost tempted to remind her Roserade she would not be supplying her music in such a desperate moment.
"Roserade, eyes on the prize, strike fast and hard!"
Smirk growing, the Roserade threw up an orb of light in a flourish, dispersing any clouds as they brought on a sunny day, narrowly avoiding the poisonous gunk shot thrown her way, dipping to the side and bringing out it's thorn once again, striking hard with it, but sadly missing as the Banette dipped into it's own shadow, its mouth unzipping as it re-emerged, taunting the Roserade with a teasing pull of it's massive tongue, trying to rile it up to little avail, especially as the Roserade held up it's second bouquet, the flowers burning a bright shade of yellow as the power of the sun had been charged within them, a tri-beam of solar energy cutting through the ghost pokemon and sending it overboard with ease, the Roserade opening it's arms infront of the league agent, taunting the other pirates to send it a fresh foe.

Kick, punch, hit, Orion took down man after man before starting towards the cargo. “You won’t get away!” he called to no one in particular. Rounding a cargo crate out of sight, he’d look around briefly before releasing a Kadabra and giving quiet orders to find a particular package of cargo. Only after she had nodded would he start wandering the area again— Only to find a multi-colored Muk seeping through the boards toting along what appeared to be a large box labeled fragile. If he hadn’t had one of his own by then, Orion most certainly would have been squinting, but this, he knew and recognized this.
Hmmm, no Kara wouldn’t be good, and his other Pokemon were busy. Damn if he hadn’t left Roll upstairs along with Poise. Ah, right. He did have her Pokeball, heh. A flick of the wrist, a beam of red light, and a Zangoose came forth in all of her fury. What was this? A gunk monster moving something around? FUCK Poison types and everything they stood for! Orion grinned a bit too hard as Crusher snarled and thus caught the Muk’s attention. “Aerial Ace, knock it out from under that crate but keep the crate from shattering,” Orion ordered. Drawing up a fierce amount of Flying strength, the Zangoose went barreling at the Muk, slashing into it with a fierce set of pointed fingers that had it crashing sideways. The crate almost went crashing to the floor but was stopped by a well-timed catch.
The Muk growled and swilled Stockpiling some strength to use against this angry mongoose. Neither Crusher or Orion would give it the option to Swallow it, however. “Crush Claw,” was the follow up order, and Crusher went charging forward again swiping with even more force than before. The slimy gooey Pokemon cried but took the damage— only to effectively poison the Zangosoe right after! Hah! Now it would suffer! Wait— What was that look in its eye? Why was it… o-oh no? Oh Arceus wait a second, why had its energy changed?!
Orion smirked a bit too hard. “Toxic boosted Crush Claw,” he ordered. Roaring the Zangoose barreled forward slashing over and over beating the Muk up this way and that. The latter stockpiled a couple of tiems and managed a Swallow before he fainted but it would not be enough to keep up with the fierce, relentless attacks of the Zangoose. As it fainted, Orion snorted softly. Good, good. “Thanks, Crush,” he mused returning her for now. She’d get some Antidote here in a bit, but he had other things to focus on now.
Ah, Kara. “Did you find them?” he asked. The Kadabra shook her head and frowned. Were they sure they were supposed to be here? Orion frowned back.

As the pirates ranks were starting to thin out, Marcie was pretty sure they could work this hero angle afterall. Maybe if she was careful with her skills of persuasion, she could outright convince the league members to give them what they wanted as a reward of sorts. They could always pin it on the pirates if their superiors asked after all...~ With a light snicker, she turned her eyes back to the action, only to very narrowly avoid the slashing blade of an aegislash.
"Okay...thats not a sword I can take control of..."
Releasing what she felt was the best pokemon for the job, her Delphox, the fire witch struck a strong pose with her wand, trying to intimidate the steel type to stay at arms length, narrowing her own eyes in an effort to keep it back away, hissing loudly in it's general direction. "I'd warn you, Delphox is hardly the kind the show mercy...she's not as theatrical as the last...~" The pirate controlling the pokemon didn't seem to have the patience for her teasing, ordering the Aegislash to attack again, slashing across with a shadow claw the Delphox could only narrowly avoid. "Right, no theatrics from me either it seems. So be it. Delphox. Burn them."
Hearing the select choice of words, Delphox held a strong grin, ensuring that none of the ship's cargo was behind the opposing Aegislash, she swirled her wand in the air, generating a ring of fire that, itself, almost seemed to open up a portal of some sorts to a fiery hell. Of course this was just a trick of the light, but bursting forth from the circle all the same was a torrent of fire unrivaled by most fire moves, the blast burn pushing across the open space on the ship, blasting the pirate and his Aegislash off into the water, leaving Marcie with a strong smile as that seemed to be the last of them...~
With the league officials allowed a moment to calm down, Marcie assured herself Orion hadn't gotten too hurt in the fray before approaching them, quietly explaining they had just been in the area looking for some water pokemon and just happened to stumble across the kerfuffle.
"Thank you Ma'am...I'm sure you can see some business from the League once we get to Veria. They'd love to thank you any way they can..."
"Oh that sounds lovely...although I do have as much business as I can handle..." Her eyes briefly flickered with a pinkey hue, smiling just ever so faintly. "Perhaps...well, I'd hate to impose but...could we have a look at the Cargo? We wouldn't take anything of too great a value of course but...well. Its not like you'd even still have most of it without us...~"
