These damn tunnels again were something weren’t they? Orion rubbed his forehead and smirked to himself a bit. He hadn’t intended to drop in on one of these, but the fact that Veria was basically made of an underground system didn’t really help now did it? Eh, it gave him an excuse to goof off for a bit and maybe train his Pokemon. Some of them still really needed it, and even if he, heh, maybe still didn’t consider himself to be a fully-fledged trainer in the Verian conventional sense, here he was he guessed.
Wandering along the tunnel way, he found himself growing warmer, feeling drier? Where was he now anyways that felt like this in the air? Nowhere near Liggs or Carrefor or anywhere else that was this bleh. Heh, well… he guessed underground had its own ecosystem of sorts anyways. Yeah, well then onward.
Single Arid Evolved Spawn. Don't forget Delibird can spawn here as well as an extra Pokemon.

Thud thud thud thud— Orion stopped walking. Yellow eyes flashed around forwards, backwards, and to a tunnel at the right, searching for the for and figure of whatever was about to come at him. Even in the dark distance, he could tell it was huge, but as the signature silhouette of a Drapion caught his eyes, a ‘tch’ sound escaped from Orion. Of course, he had nothing very good to battle this damn thing with, but Arceus he was not about to not try. Grabbing a Pokeball and releasing it right as it came forward, he watched the Horsea look around confused.
“Don’t back down,” was the only order before the Drapion finally appeared in all her glory. The Horsea squeaked, more than a little unnerved, but Orion gave orders anyways. “Muddy Water!” Muddy water? He wanted her to fill the cavern with— O-ok??? Taking in a deep breath she shot the dark colored water at the Drapion right as it was using Hone Claws. The change in Accuracy would be felt by the irritated scorpion who flailed a little on being hit as well.
“Keep at it, don’t back down, Dragon Pulse aimed at the ceiling,” Orion called. The ceiling? The Horsea didn’t have time to be skeptical even thogh she was. Drawing in a breath, she shot the beam and OH GOD IT WAS COMING RIGHT AT HER OH NO THAT CRUNCH LOOKED PAINFUL OH—
Slam. A series of rocks from toppled down from the ceiling pinning and crushing the Drapion a good deal. She yelled frustrated and was starting to shake off the rocks but was taking more time now.
“Muddy Water,” Orion ordered again. A little more confidently, the Horsea took in a breath and spewed water. This splash of gunk and mud hit the Drapion yet again and sent her skidding back further than the rocks. Orion grinned a bit. “Again! Push it as far back as you can.” O-oh. The Horsea understood now. This was what he was doing? Making it go away? Drawing up more water, she launched it at the Poison type and sent her finally skidding back through the tunnel.
Finally.
Words: 365 Horsea 3 points.

Just as the Drapion was successfully pushed backwards, the sound of wings reverberating through the cavern had Orion’s head turning. A Rufflet seemed on his way somewhere or something but, on catching sight of the Horsea and her trainer, called out an immediate challenge before issuing a Slash forward. The Horsea yelped crashing sideways and struggling to get up again. Ugh.
A small ‘tch’ sound escaped from Orion. “Muddy Water,” Orion called. “Knock him back as well.” The Horsea took a moment to get herself together before spinning up some water. She’d just defeated something much bigger than this! She was just fine! Releasing the stream of mud at the Rufflet, she succeeded in knocking him backwards briefly. “Don’t let up, Dragon Pulse,” Orion went on. The Horsea was quick to comply with that as well glowing with Dragon power and blasting it at the Rufflet. The latter yelped and tried to get in with a Peck but was not allowed to as yet another “Muddy Water,” was called. Blasted back this time for good, the Rufflet fainted. Heh, not bad.
“Good work,” Orion mused softly. His Horsea sighed and flopped forward. She was very tired now!

Returning the small sea dragon for now, Orion stretched slowly before continuing on his way again. He’d walk for a while, passing some smaller, weaker Pokemon that were quick to scuttle out of his way as he went. Unfortunately, they were Pokemon he either had no interest in or were too fast to get away in these winding tunnels, heh.
However, it would be as he turned yet another corner that he would come upon a rather interesting sight? Of sorts? A Delcatty had lowered herself and was hissing loudly at a Talonflame that had heightened herself ready to attack. Orion’s lips quirked a bit. As much as he knew the dangers of getting between two Pokemon having a personal spat, the prospects of battling them out to both work his own Pokemon and get them to blow off some steam of their own was too enticing. They had yet to notice him just yet, so his hand moved to the ball belt, searching for a particular pair to toss out.
There we go— a Seel and a Remoriad would burst from the Pokeballs filling the tunnel with momentarily light and catching the attention of the two wild Pokemon. They’d turn and hiss at these intruders as well, but Orion was already giving orders by that point. “Finn, Lock On to that Delcatty. Arielle, use Aqua Ring,” he prepped them both. The Remoriad was quick to zero in on the Delcatty, his eyes glowing with a mysterious power. Arielle ensured her own strength by drawing up protective water around her.
The Delcatty, meanwhile, looked from the Talonflame to the Remoraid and rather quickly started to sway about, her body glowing and a number of hearts floating up in the air. O-oh. The Remoraid seemed to stare at a momentary loss at seeing such a beautiful display. A ‘tch’ sound resounded from Orion. “Fight through it, Bubble Beam,” he called. The Remoraid, however, was a bit too immobilized by the beauty of the situation right then. Oops, welp.
The Talonflame, meanwhile, was not so subtle. Rushing forward with a Peck, she made to hit the Seel, the latter. “Dive!” Orion ordered. The Seel seemed to glow with watery power and went sailing forward, diving under the Peck’s attack and coming up from behind the bird with a fierce gush of water. The Talonflame yelped as she was sent crashing forward and nearly hit Orion who’d just barely managed to step out of the way in time. “Smart Strike!” Orion went on. Turning around, the Seel whipped forward and slammed the Talonflame right out of the air. The latter crashed to the ground whining softly.
Unfortunately for Finn, his love as unrequited as the Delcatty used a Double Slam to put him in his place. He winced and flipped around trying to get his head straight, but she wasn’t about to let him. A quick Fake-Out would keep him in his place, and a whine had Orion’s attention quickly returning to him. Ugh, damn it. “Hang in there, Bullet Seed,” Orion called. The Remoraid did manage to snap out of his infatuation for a few seconds enough to throw a burst of Grass power at the Delcatty over and over and over again. She hung on, however, and whipped around with another Double Slap in retribution. Tch— “Ari help him out!” The Seel didn’t need to be told twice, lunging forward with a Smart Strike to send the Delcatty flying. Well, finally.

Phew, that was done, yeah? Thankfully they could just—
CLINK CLINK CLINK. Orion’s eyes grew as a series of spikes came forward landing all over the ground. The Remoriad whined while the Seel glared towards this new challenger. Orion’s eyes had raised staring through the darkness unable to discern what it was— at least for a moment.
As the signature form of the Cacturne finally revealed itself, his fists tightened. Ugh. Great. Yellow eyes dropped to the two Water types at his disposal, and hand went to their Pokeballs. “Retur-“ he started until the Remoriad released a beam of Icy light at the new challenger. The Cacturne hissed softly and used an Ingrain to draw in some nutrients for himself. Ugh, fine, as long as it was stuck in that place. “Arielle, Ice Beam, keep at a distance, Finn, keep using Aurora Beam!”
Revitalized by her own Aqua Ring, the Seel formed an Ice Beam and retaliated as well. Ice, cold, ice, cold. The Cacturne took the damage and hissed in irritated pain. Suddenly disappearing into the darkness, he hit the weaker of the two: the Remoriad, with a Feint Attack. The latter went collapsing back fainted from his struggles, and Orion returned him almost immediately. The Seel, however, was not one to give up and was quick to release another Ice Beam as Orion voiced it. Luckily, that Type weakness was able to slowly do some damage freezing over the harsh Dark Grass type. Orion sighed softly. “Nice.”

Now finally returning his Pokemon once more, Orion smirked down at their balls for a moment. “Thank you both of you, rest well,” he murmured before setting them at his belt again. Turning thereafter, he started a different route up through the tunnel. Hmmmm? Was that the light at the end of this mess? He …. could see it, but it was still far off. Orion walked maybe a little faster than before.
Just before he came to the end of the tunnel, Orion would catch sight of one last opponent, a Marowak standing there sunning himself. Orion’s lips quirked up a bit on seeing it. He really needed to get to evolving his own Cubone eventually, yeah? As he stared, however, the Marowak would take notice and frown, thrusting out a Ghostly bone in the process. “Now how can I deny a challenge,” Orion snorted back reaching and revealing yet another Pokeball. “Come,” he tossed out the ball to reveal the Kabuto.
The Marowak looked… vaguely confused and vaguely irritated at such a challenge before using a Fling to throw his bone at the creature. The Kabuto winced but was rather unfazed by the attack. Orion let out a small puff of air. Yeah, that wasn’t gonna work too well. “Bubble beam,” came the order. The Kabuto leaned upwards and stared with its dark eyes at the opponent before releasing a stream of bubbles at him. The Marowak yelped taking the damage and wincing rather pained. Shaking his head, however, he would not be defeated here! Slamming his Belly, he started to draw up power.
Ugh. Orion knew that sound a bit too well after battling a certain someone. “Stay out of its way as much as possible, Bubble beam again,” Orion called. The Kabuto did what she could drawing up power and releasing it in a stream. The Marowak, meanwhile, went lunging forward swinging his bone fiercely and slamming her with a harsh Thrash. The Kabuto cried out all but fainting from such a heavy hitting blow. How she hung on even a little was a mystery to both her and Orion. “Bubble Beam!” Orion snapped. The Kabuto complied as fast as she could finally stopping the Marowak for good.
