Elayne didn't have far to go before she spotted a couple Pokemon fighting over something that sparkled in the sand nearby. Elly perked up upon seeing it but considering there were other Pokemon already fighting over it... and the fact that it was in a puddle of water, decided that it would be best to leave it alone. That poor Shellos was trying to fend off the Krabby as best she could but with the treasure in her mouth there was very little she could do to defend herself. The Krabby on the other hand was intent on getting the treasure for herself. It was big after all and she'd seen it first!

Seeing the two Pokemon fighting over it, Elayne didn't quite know what to do. It seemed like a lot of fuss over a little bauble but how could she convince them that it wasn't worth it? Well, if nothing else maybe she could try and get another one of her Pokemon to make them see reason. After looking at the other pokeballs she'd brought with her, Elayne released her Fomantis, Sage. The little Fomantis saw the scene before her and let out an angry cry. That Krabby was bullying that poor Shellos! Releasing a Leaf Storm, Sage sent it at the two Pokemon catching the Shellos in it unfortunately, making her drop the treasure.

The Krabby didn't see the attack coming and let out a pained cry before fainting, claw still reaching for that elusive treasure. Sage winced a bit at seeing the state the Krabby was in but... well, she shouldn't have been bullying the Shellos then! Elayne's eyes grew a bit at seeing how badly hurt the Krabby was and knelt in the water, hugging the poor Krabby. Thankfully it seemed that she was alright, at least for the most part. "Sorry, don't worry... I'll take care of you," Elayne whispered, pressing a pokeball to the Krabby. The Krabby disappeared into the ball while the Shellos and Sage looked on. The Fomantis looked ready to cry, she didn't mean to hurt anyone! Well... at least not that badly.

Elayne reached out a hand and pat the Fomantis, pulling Sage into a hug this time. "It's alright, you were just doing what you thought would help." The Fomantis seemed to perk up at hearing that, cooing a little before looking over at the Shellos shyly. What had they found anyway? The Shellos looked a little scared after seeing what had happened but did nudge the treasure they found towards the Fomantis to thank them for saving them. They could just find something else cool later. Sage looked at the treasure, eyes wide as she picked up the huge golden nugget. The weight of it had Sage nearly toppling over had Elayne not reached out to stop her. Elayne giggled softly and took the treasure from the Fomantis for safe keeping.

The Shellos watched the interaction and nudged Sage a bit. She might have been weakened from the move earlier, but it seemed she wanted to try and fight? Sage looked a little uncertain but nodded. The Shellos seemed happy about it and used Hidden Power, surprising Sage when it turned out to be fire. Powering up a Leaf Blade, the Fomantis hit the Shellos which knocked her out cold and eliciting a distressed cry from both Sage and the Shellos. Well, it seemed the Fomantis still didn't know her own strenght. After some thought, Elayne pressed a pokeball to the Shellos as well. They could heal them back at the ranch without a problem. "Come on, Sage, let's keep looking, alright?" Elly nodded in return and nuzzled the Fomantis. It was alright.

After walking a little ways, it was clear that Sage was more exhausted than Elayne had thought before. Perhaps it would be best to let her rest for now. Elayne had been about to return the Fomantis when Sage started to glow with the familiar light of evolution. Orange eyes grew as she watched Sage evolve into a Lurantis. "Good job, Sage! I'm so proud of you~," Elayne praised, hugging the now Lurantis close while Sage cooed happily, climbing up to sit on Elayne's shoulder for now. Elly purred happily, congratulating Sage in her own way.

In the distance, it looked like there was another... curious scene. It looked like an unusually colored Delibird was being harassed by a Crabrawler. U-um... well, they should probably help them out, huh. Looking through her pokeballs, Elayne found the one that would be helpful and sent out Solly. The Chingling yawned and shook his head, not quite sure what was going on. Was nap time over already? O-oh... that poor Delibird! "Solly, use Hypnosis on that Crabrawler, then Future Sight." Solly nodded and cast the hypnotic waves at the Crabrawler who tried to stay awake but just couldn't seem to keep his eyes-... zzzzzzzzzzzz. Good, that would buy them sometime while they waited for Future Sight to activate.

Approaching the Delibird, Solly asked if they were alright only to quickly fly back in surprise at the sudden Rapid Spin. H-huh? But they had just been trying to help! "Quick, use Confusion!" Elayne called out. Poor Solly was hit a few times with the Rapid Spin but was able to use Confusion shortly afterwards a couple of times, knocking the Delibird backwards. "You can do it! Use Uproar!" Solly nodded and started causing an Uproar, making the Delibird cover his ears in the process to try and block out the painful racket.

By this time, the Crabrawler woke up to the Uproar but before he could do anything, the Future Sight activated and hit him, making him faint instantly. Well, that was one down. Solly was still causing an Uproar which made the Delibird faint shortly after that. Even after the two Pokemon fainted, the Chingling kept causing an Uproar which had Elly running away to both avoid the noise and investigate the shiny thing she'd seen. Elayne waited until Solly exhausted himself and hugged the Chingling briefly. "Good job, you did it~," she praised, making Solly blush even as he chimed happily.

Tossing a couple pokeballs at the fainted Pokemon, Elayne looked to see where Elly had gone off to. As it turned out, the Espeon was batting at a small bracelet buried in the mud not too far away. "What did you find, Elly?" The Espeon mewed pitifully, not wanting to get her paws dirty but at the same time it was a shiny! She wanted it! Elayne laughed and shook her head, bending down to pick up the muddy bracelet. There was a puddle of water not too far away and a quick rinse in that showed a Z Charm. Smiling brightly, Elayne scratched Elly's ears and pocketed the charm. She knew one girl who would love something like this. "Come on, let's keep exploring some more, who knows what else we'll find."

Elly mewed happily and bounded off, eager to search for more shinies, eliciting a soft laugh from Elayne. The Espeon was always so much fun to watch considering she loved exploring so much. Sage wasn't having as much fun though. Even resting on Elayne's shoulder like the Lurantis had been, it was obvious she was exhausted. Petting the Lurantis briefly, Elayne hugged her softly before returning Sage back to her pokeball. She deserved a good rest after all.

Solly chimed happily at Elayne's side, circling around his trainer before he spotted something else shiny. Ohhh, maybe that was a treasure! Zooming over to see what the gem was, Solly tried to pull at it only to get knocked backwards by a less than effective Psywave. Owwwww, that had hurt! The Chingling's cries had Elayne looking over only to giggle when she saw that Solly had been pulling at a Staryu's gem. That... shouldn't have been funny, and the look Solly sent her had Elayne feeling a little bad but, oh well? "Use Hypnosis, then Uproar," Elayne managed in between fits of laughter.

Despite how much the Chingling didn't like being laughed at, he did use Hypnosis, only to be hit by Brine moments before the Staryu fell asleep. Great, now he was soaked and not the least bit happy. He could hear Elayne trying not to laugh and failing but used Uproar anyway. The sleeping Staryu had no defense against the ruckus and fainted after the three consecutive turns. Elayne felt a little bad about the Staryu and was tempted to catch it but the way Solly was looking at her... yeah, best just to walk away for now.

Hmm.... now where did Elly go? The Espeon couldn't have gone too far away, right? Well, maybe they should start looking around some more. Petting the Chingling, Elayne smiled apologetically, "Sorry about earlier. You did a great job though, Solly. You can find the next treasure, alright?" That seemed to cheer the Chingling up as he gave a happy nod. Shortly after that, Elly came trotting back with her tail and head held high. Yes, she found a new shiny and this shiny was her shiny and no one else's~. Both Solly and Elayne laughed at seeing the Espeon carrying what appeared to be a marble in her mouth. Well, they would find out what that was later then. Best not try and take it away from her for the time being.

Elayne had just been about to continue on when Solly started to glow. Shielding her eyes from the light, Elayne looked back when the light had faded, grinning when she saw the Chimecho. "You did it! That's wonderful, Solly~," Elayne chimed, hugging the newly evolved Chimecho close. Solly cooed happily and 'hugged' back as best he could while Elly mewed happily... or tried to with the marble from before still in her mouth. Right, maybe it would be best to let it go for the time being.

Pawing at Elayne's leg, Elly offered the marble to her earning a smile from the brunette. "Thank you, Elly~," Elayne mused, pocketing the marble before pulling out Solly's pokeball. "Why don't you rest now, dear... you've earned it." The Chimecho nodded and pressed the ball's center, disappearing into it as he did so. "Now, why don't we keep going, hmm? There's bound to be more treasure around here and perhaps some more Pokemon too~." The Espeon nodded, purring as she rubbed against Elayne's leg before walking ahead. Of course she wanted to find more shinies, that was obvious wasn't it.

They didn't get very far when Elayne noticed something... odd happening up ahead. Suddenly, something fell from the sky and was headed straight for where Elly was. Elayne hardly had any time to cry out before she dove for her partner, barely saving her just as a Slakoth fell right where the Espeon had been moments before. Phew, that was close. The Slakoth looked confused and a little shaken but Elayne was more concerned about Elly in that moment. "Are you ok, Elly?" Elayne murmured, still holding the Espeon close. The reassuring mew had Elayne breathing out quietly and hugging her beloved Elly perhaps a little too tight before even trying to see what had almost fallen on her.

The Slakoth was clearly not what she had expected but... it almost looked like it was hurt considering it wasn't moving. Oh wait, there it was moving again. Still holding Elly, Elayne shifted to pull out a pokeball and released her Bellsprout, Bella. "Use Stun Spore then Poison Jab." The Bellsprout nodded, zeroing in on her target before using Stun Spore, paralyzing the Slakoth in the process. A couple quick Poison Jabs had the Slakoth crying out in pain but despite her best attempts she couldn't quite move due to the paralysis. "Use Razor Leaf," Elayne encouraged, earning a nod from the Bellsprout as she used the attack. Try as she might, the Slakoth couldn't manage to stay conscious after the onslaught of attacks and fainted. Tossing a pokeball at the fainted Slakoth, Elayne smiled and pat the Bellsprout gently. "Great job, you did very well~." Bella chimed happily at the praise and started walking forward.

This time, it would be Bella who found the treasure glistening in the water. Curious, the Bellsprout walked forward a little and used a Vine Whip to cautiously bring the object closer to her. Ohh, what was this, it was cool wasn't it? Elayne caught up with her easily enough and bent down to see what Bella had found. "Oh wow, a Z Crystal~, nice job Bella," Elayne praised, pocketing the gem before going forward. The fact that Bella had found the last treasure had Elly sulking a little. She had wanted to find it after all but considering she had found two to Bella's one... it wasn't so bad.
