Mission name: Fantastic Beasts and Where Not to Find them Participants: Orion and Marceline Labele Catching?: No Spawning: 4 waves of 2 Pokemon each owned by several crew members and pirates, evolved and up to 10 moves each, word count Mission details: AZOTH has been coming together rather well, but they're still out Beast Balls among other things. Orion and Marcie intercept a shipment sent to Veria only to find that a band of pirates are in the midst of fighting the crew mates and ransaking the ship. They must fight off the pirates and somehow convince/calm the crew enough to allow them to explore and search for anything left worthwhile on the ship. Orion will find a set of Memories at this point, but no Beast Balls are found. Reward: Rock, Bug, Ghost, Fairy Memories for Orion, Dark Memory for Marcie and Grassium Z for her troubles.
The salt in the air really did mitigate the shift in the weather didn’t it? Or at least Orion thought so as he sat back in the speed boat he and Marcie were taking out to intercept the League’s personal ship. Perhaps it was actually because of this nice fuzzy black and green jacket he now had that battered the spray and air pretty well, heh. Either way.
This would be the last mission for a couple of weeks as he’d already told Marceline his plans to take the week before Christmas and up through it off. After that, work would just begin again and yay for a near year~? Yeah. A near year, new missions, new monsters… Orion’s gaze flickered up again hoping to catch the ship in the distance. New crimes… Still, this would be the least offensive of things he’d done over the course of this year, right? Rig—
Wait— what? What the fuck??? “Marce, do you see smoke?” Orion stated leaning forward over the dashboard of the boat. It wouldn’t be good to stand at the speeds they were going, but he couldn’t help it. “The ship’s on fire.”

Sitting in the back of the speedboat, Marcie had made sure to dress warm but effective for the mission, a puffy coat that still held close to her, not overly thick but still providing a bit of warmth with a fur rimmed high neck to it to make sure she was protected against the cold winds whipping against them especially at such high speed. A wooly knit hat holding the top of her head and some shades just incase the sea water slapped up into her eyes. As horrid as the conditions were on the sea at this time of year, it was an important mission, and as much as she trusted Orion, she both wanted to get him some extra muscle and oversee the mission personally.
"Fire...?" She pushed up from her own seat and eased to the front, leaning up behind Orion, holding his shoulder and narrowing her eyes. She'd came out here thinking her grass types would be useful against the water types the crew were likely to have...turns out not so much if they had to deal with fire. Her gaze shifted about, and she pointed over for Orion to see. "Second ship docked beside." She spotted the small boat that had saddled up beside the bigger ship. "Pirates maybe?"

Yellow eyes flickered sideways as Marceline pointed out the much smaller and yet more menacing looking ship that had boarded the more respectable League one. Pirates, really? He guessed bandits were everywhere. Ah, yeah look at that black flag the smaller but better crafted boat seemed to have. Lovely.
Lips pressed together, and Orion found himself glancing back towards Marceline. “Should we help the League or the pirates?” he asked before looking forward again. They could take some real advantage of this situation depending on who they sided with, but then they had to be careful. It wouldn’t be possible to change sides once they’d made a decision, and it was hard to tell right then which side was wi— Oh, that was a Pokemon sent blasting off the starboard side there. Arceus, they weren’t messing around.

Really? They had a little black flag? What brought that on? Usually modern pirates tended to avoid such obvious markers, but if they were going to make their own job easier labeling them it wasn't something she'd openly criticize. She looked to Orion briefly as he asked his question, but after a brief moment of thought, she returned a soft smirk, pushing forward on the lever that worked on the acceleration, the boat pushing faster towards the league ship.
"I'm personally of the mind we side with neither. They're clearly in a heated battle, we join one side we're just as likely to get stabbed in the back in the hectic chaos...we climb aboard and, for as long as they have the disadvantage, we side with the League. They're more likely to accept our aid. Once the pirates are on the back-foot, we turn on the league. If we turn on the League second, they'll be unable to escape, and we can make sure to deal with any troublesome memories they'd have of our faces.~"

A small ‘heh’ sound escaped from Orion as Marceline spoke. Well, of course they wouldn’t really side with anyone but, yes, he agreed with that. Better to look like heros should they get caught up in a mess that got too out of hand. Then again, he had several options for controlling the situation and hopefully that wouldn’t be the case. “Sounds like a plan,” he’d finally answer back as they closed in on the opposing side of the ship.
Fishing out a Pokeball, Orion released Gyarados out into the water. Swaying a bit, the creature extended along the side of the ship and bit down on the railing. Orion smirked and stood up, hopping to climb up the fins of the creature all the way to the top. The Gyarados would stay stationary for a bit, allowing Marceline to climb up too if she didn’t have another Pokemon to instantly port her there. After that, however, Orion was quick to return the beast and survey the area.
Men were fighting all along the ship, still, Pokemon were clashing here and there trying to knock each other overboard. “Hey! Who are you?!” a sailor snapped as he caught sight of Orion. His poor Tentacool, however, would be sent flying at his face right after. A pirate laughed and harshly in response. Side with the league, right.

With the offer to ride the Gyrados, Marcie held up a hand to say she was good, smirking softly as she released her gardevoir and swiftly teleported the two of them up onto the deck. It certainly was a chaotic scene, and there were easily more pirates than the two of them, but...well, they had the league on their side, and while she always felt a bit rusty, she knew full well Orion could handle a bit of rough and tumble.
"League uniforms this side...which means we aim down the length of the deck!~" She signalled to her gardevoir, the psychic pokemon letting out a wave of psychic energy at a pirate that had tried to rush her with a machamp by its side. "Heh...lets hope the rest are more challenging..." She turned her eyes to a league member, shouting louder. "Hey! Marceline of the Eclore ranches! You guys need a hand!?"

Quite a few League members were still too distracted dealing with the pirates to look over, but at least two or three did briefly. Huh? Marceline of what now— Oh shit! Ack! “Please!” One of them called as his poor Remoraid pair were sent flying from a fierce attack from a Sawsbuck. The deer Pokemon stomped his feet fiercely and called out another mark of challenge. His pirate trainer, meanwhile, was now taking the opportunity to close in on the sailor with a sword in tow.
“That’s my cue,” Orion laughed already running in and releasing a Sealeo on the side before he ran sideways at the man raising a leg to kick the junction of his forearm and bicep before he could finish the swing. Boot met arm, and the man yelped as the sword flew from his grasp. A sailor who was fighting not far off nearly got skewered but was saved by fast action from his Mightyena partner. The pirate, meanwhile, was snarling at Orion grasping his pained elbow. What the hell who the hell? Ugh! Rleasing his arm and raising a fist, the pirate made to hit him hard for such a blow. Orion smirked, side stepping with uncanny speed as he avoided the man over and over. Nope, can’t get ahold of him~
Overcome by the moment, the Sawsbuck cried out irritated and stomped his feet ready to deal with the human that was giving his trainer such troubles. Before he could, however, the Sealeo that had been released during the confusion took a moment to release a nasty Blizzard that exploded outward and frosted him. The Sawsbuck yelped crashing sideways for a moment before quickly forming a Camouflage to hide his true typing. On the water, he became a Water type. This battle wasn’t over yet!
Another pirate, meanwhile, was doing his best to come up behind Orion even as he backed up to avoid the first one.

Marcie announced herself and the name of her business in the hopes it would make the league more trusting before they tried to whipe their memories later. Push came to shove they could just try and sneak away with a crate of beast balls while no one was looking all the same. At the very least they seemed to have the league's trust for now in a dire moment while they didn't have time to think on the offer of aid, and as Orion found his own target, Marcie found hers, a man rushing towards him with a sword and a mothin behind them.
"An insect? I shouldn't even have to try here.~" Releasing her own pokemon as Gardevoir focused on aiding the league, Marcie let out just a small togepi, the tiny pokemon waddling into its two little feet and taking in the surroundings. Marcie might have been worried, but some laughing from the pirate let her know they were under-estimating her little pokemon. "You know, looks can be deceiving dear!~ Togepi! Ancient power!"
The small pokemon rose its arms towards the sky, a series of glowing rocks forming about it before being launched towards the mothin. The insect pokemon was put at a disadvantage by it's dual weakness, avoiding some of the larger rocks before being struck in the face by one of the back-end rocks of the launched group. Marcie chuckled a little herself, aggravating the pirate who'd been rushing towards her. As he lifted his sword, she gave it just a little bit more of a tip, using the momentum of his own arm and subtly adjusting it with her own telekinisis to give it too much of a push so it was flung out of his hands. The pirate looked bewildered at his now empty hand, before another blast of ancient power from her dear Togepi sent him flying overboard.
"Well that seemed easy en-Orion!" She called out quickly, but didn't have much time to recognize the threat he was dealing with AND react to it for him, only hoping her call would give him enough awareness.

Marceline’s voice was enough to have Orion glancing back, and with a quick step sideways, he avoided the swing of yet another sword. “Sorry~ Can’t afford to get hurt by one of you goons,” he mused circle stepping around him again. The man reached out, hoping to snag his wrist or his forearm. Orion winced at that but wasn’t about to show pain. Yanking back and forcing the man’s arm along with him, he elbowed down forcefully on the joint earning a sharp cry from the man. “Oops snapped your arm? Shouldn’t have gotten too close,” Orion leaned sideways shoving his foot hard into the man’s side and sending him doubling back in the process.
The Sealeo, meanwhile, was sort of vaguely frustrated his attack hadn’t finished off the Sawsbuck who was now charging at him. He took a well-placed Jump Kick to the side but was mostly flubber and capable of withstanding it somewhat. Curling up, however, he suddenly started a rollout that ahd a bunch of men yelping all at once. A sailor ducked out of the way as a pirate was knocked into and thrown overboard while the Sawsbuck dodged as best he could. It wouldn’t last long, however, as the Sealeo crashed into him and had him tripping and crashing forward fainted.
Oh fucking— “Careful!” Orion called both at Marceline and at the Sealeo who just kept rolling, apparently.

Well that was a relief, it wouldn't be good if she lost her muscle so earlier into the fight. With a sigh of relief she spotted the mothin from earlier out of the corner of her eye, jolting to the side and narrowly avoiding a gust attack that came in from the angry insect as it's trainer ran to try and find his sword in the chaos. Crap. "Togepi ancient power again!"
The two pokemon were still on the same footing, the ancient power far more effective and the shotgun like blast it could be used in making victory easy enough for Marcie over the Mothim. As the Mothim finally went down, the issue arose more from her own companion than anything else, the green haired breeder jolting again, not having the time to think, but lucky for her Togepi did, the small pokemon leaping to it's trainer's aid as it's tiny hands tipped left and right to the beat of a metronome, thankfully calling up a protect barrier with some luck, the green breeder's eyes shooting a faintly harsh glare to Orion. She did not need to look out for friendly fire when this situation was already so fucked.

The Sealeo went spring boarding away and slammed into two men who’d been fighting. A startled noise escaped from them as they went crashing to the ground from the force of the creature. The Rollout ended there, however, with quite a number of participants out of the chaos battle. Orion exhaled. That Sealeo needed more training, but there was nothing he could do about it now. A small, toothy grin flashed across his features as Marceline glared at him. Ehehehehe. Welp.
Before Orion could linger on this thought, however, a scented mist began to fall into the air. Orion’s nose twitched slightly, and his eyes whipped around to catch sight of the Aromatisse standing by his trainer’s side. Before much more could be said, however, a noise rebounded in the air causing Orion to grimace and his Sealeo to whine a little. Ugh, wasn’t that great. “Roll, Rest,” Orion called already fishing out a different Pokemon. The Sealeo fell asleep for now, regaining some stamina as he did so.
A Toxapex in all his merciless glory burst out onto the field ready to take and defend. An order for a Flail was given, and the Aromatisse came flying forward with that ready and waiting. Orion didn’t need to tell the Toxpex what to do, however, the force of the Fairy Pokemon would be his own downfall as he fell right into a Baneful Bunker. Poisoned, he yelped and backed up. “Venoshock,” Orion went on, and gracelessly, the Toxapex retaliated, shocking the Aromatisse hard.
Orion found himself running forward, his fist tight again as he rose to met yet another foe. A swift punch to the jaw had the man recoiling a bit, but he recovered faster than Orion was expecting, and suddenly a kick met his side. Orion flopped back against the railing, grabbing it to keep himself from falling back over. “Fuck.” The man was trying to grab him, to throw him right off the side, and Orion found himself squirming and gripping the rails. Stomping hard on the man’s toes, he managed to have him recoil just enough to punch him in the face not once but twice.

Marcie could understand the sense of chaos in this battle but it didn't really help the fact Orion's own pokemon had nearly run her over. Bagh, she'd get over it, she just needed to focus on the matter at hand. Her loose gardevoir was focus on keeping the other humans away from her, almost firing an attack off at a league member before pulling her hand back and teleporting off to another target. Togepi himself was looking about carefully for what else could cause them trouble, jolting back as a red flash had a spawned Boldore above it's head.
"On your toes Togepi! Launch it back with ancient power!"
The attack was far less effective than it had been on the Mothim but it managed to put some distance between the two. The Togepi began to fire off randomized metronome attacks till it managed to find something that worked, meanwhile, the human controlling the boldore took a gap provided by the gardevoir focusing on someone else to move in on Marce. "Oh crud." Jolting back from a sword swing Marcie was a little caught off guard and clearly on the backfoot with very little combat training herself. Her first thought was to grab a loose weapon with her telekinesis, but that would potentially give away her power if any of the league members were watching...then again...her powers were league record since they trained her...
With a devious smirk as that fact came to mind, as well as the thought that they'd have to sink the pirates on the way home to make sure they didn't spread anything, her eyes darted to a loose sword and had the half-length blade dive up between the two, holding the sword of the pirate at bay as the smirk on Marcie's lips only grew. The motions of her mentally controlled blade were swift and unpredictable with no arm motions to let the pirate know where it was coming from, slamming hard into the pirate to keep him on the backfoot with quick strikes, knowing he could easily over power her mental hold on the blade if he got a chance. "Oh...oh I should do this more often~"

The Aromatisse was starting to get anxious. The poison was taking its toll on him, and the Toxapex was giving no leverage. Drawing up a Sweet Kiss, he planted it on the Toxapex and immediately confused him. The Toxapex, however, was not one to lash out when confused. Sure, he swayed profusely, but his entire body seemed to lock down on the ship, clinging to it. He didn’t need to attack when his poison was already circulating through the Fae Pokmeon. No, he just had to wait it out.
Unexpectedly, however, the Sealeo would be tripped over by still another person and their Pokemon and jolted awake in the process. A startled noise escaped from him before he realized what was going on. Body Slamming the Armonatisse, he went him flying out into the ocean. His poor trainer looked up right in time to see it happen too, the pirate’s eyes growing wide right before Orion kicked him in the stomach again. “Stay down,” Orion snarled kicking the man’s stomach again and again. This time, he buckled and collapsed finally. Ugh, finally.
“Marce, you doing alright?” he called only to see what she was doing?? Damn woman, she was sweeping that guy huh? A cheeky look pulled across his features before an arm swung sideways, slamming into a running man’s neck and causing him to collapse on the ground right after.
