Orion frowned but tried very hard not to be sympathetic to this idiot. For one thing, he held immortality and therefore would be fine eventually, and for another, he was giving him that stupid a look. A small puff of air finally escaped from Orion, and yellow eyes rolled briefly as he forced himself to stand up again. Looking back to the barrier, he bit the inside of his cheek.

“Do you think it extends passed the wall? If so we can just bust through the walls around it easier,” he answered walking over to the wall right adjacent to it and feeling over it. “Seems like sheetrock,” he commented standing back. A hand tightened into a fist and he swung it hard slamming into the wall. Part of it caved inwards but not all the way through. “Ah yeah, maybe we can go around this thing~”

Cena rolled her eyes wondering why her trainer had to be like this. Jumping forward and slamming her first into the wall, she broke it down easily leaving a hole all the way outside.

Orion looked back at Niso and then forward at the hole he’d made. As much as he had been the one to suggest doing this, he realized belatedly that he did not want to be the one to test it. Tch, fine, he wouldn’t fully body hulk smash it at least. A hand reached forward through the wall slowly… and … hey that wasn’t so—

ZAP?!?!?

Orion yelped shifting sideways and looking around very confused. There wasn’t a force field there but he got shocked anyways? Looking around and then at the invisible wall, Orion squinted a moment before… the illusion briefly faded and a series of Magnemite and Magneton appeared. All of their spherical eyes were focused on Orion and Niso and leering about as hard as they could. Shit Orion was backing up pretty quick. “Cena, Flamethrower,” he called. The Incinceroar released a series of flames, but again a Protect seemed to hold. Tch.

Orion’s lips pressed together hard as he sated at the force shield that blocked the way. He swore he saw it, but now it just…. looked normal? Or rather like it had, anyways, invisible but painful. Yellow eyes flickered around again searching for any signs of what he had seen but— “I’m pretty sure I saw something just now,” he answered pushing up his glasses. “You got anything with more heavy fire power?” He thumbed over to Cena who rather quickly took offense. “Not that you aren’t strong, sweetie,” he assured rather quickly after that. The Incineroar folded her arms and rolled her eyes. It wasn’t her fault that whatever this was was strong.

Orion’s brow quirked as Niso spoke, but he made a small gesture to the wall and let the kid come up with something. As the black Dragonite and that Garchomp were released, Cena may have stepped just a little closer to Orion but wasn’t about to say anything immediately. She was sure she could take them on a good day, but she was already tired from having to physically fight those damn humans and all. Watching the Dragonite, Orion’s eyebrow quirked— but would you look at that? Niso had some impressive tactical skill there, didn’t he? “Very nice work kiddo~”

As the Magnemite appeared, Orion grinned a bit. “Cena~~~?” The Incinceroar roared aggressively releasing an unnecessary amount of energy on an Earthquake to rock those stupid creatures down to their core. Many of the Magnemite and Magneton tried very quickly to whip up Protects, but a good portion of them were hit by the rocking earth. Those that weren’t were about to face some irritated Flamethrowers. Was she pissed??? Apparently???

Orion hissed as he backed up and grabbed the wall. Cena what the fuck don’t shake everything that badly, ugh. Righting himself again, he exhaled dryly on seeing her rampage. As much as he could inform her that one Swords Dance and probably another Earthquake could do them all in, she seemed to really want to just keep chipping away at their defenses.

Finally, the force field of sorts was defeated. Cena had sustained some paralysis but was huffing and puffing her rage out. Further inwards, the throttling of the area continued. Orion fished out a Pokeball and returned the Incineroar for now. As easily as he could fix her paralysis right then with some stuff he’d brought, she’d already fought through more than a dozen guards and had to deal with this right after. She could rest for a bit.

It was only after this, however, that the howls of several types of dog Pokemon began to vibrate in Orion’s ears. Ugh, yeah, he knew each of those calls a bit too well. “The guard dogs are coming,” he commented at Niso before gripping another Pokeball. A light flashed, and a Dusk Lycanroc brust forth. “Wait for my signal, don’t move otherwise,” he went on.

And right after, they had quite a number coming forward. The Lycanroc growled but wouldn’t move. Orion, meanwhile, had a Stoutland coming at him, and ….. Did he just whistle a couple of times? Yes, yes he did and the Stoutland was stopping dead in his tracks looking around confused. “Who’s a good boy~? C’mere c’mere,” Orion called whistling again. The Stoutland hesitated, and a Mightyena that had come up from behind growled. Orion smirked a little.

“Who’s a good boy? C’mere~” Orion continued on warmly, and even the Mightyena and subsequent dog-like Pokemon that had come rushing in seemed…. Very confused by this man’s presence. These were intruders, people to attack and defend their owners from, but this human felt… so pack to them it was just??? The Stoutland whined a little, and the Mightyena grumbled. An Arcanine that had come up right after seemed to stomp his feet a couple times in frustration.

Orion continued his goading for a moment before looking back at Niso and half smirking. “Not at all, but they’re dogs~” he chuckled a bit never once letting his eyes truly leave the pack of sorts. “You just gotta know what to say to them.” Which, right after, he glanced fully forward again and found the Stoutland slowly ebbing towards him uncertainly. A hand was held out, and the nose of the great dog met right before Orion’s fingers. Hmmmmmm. No, this one… smelled like Doggo. An alpha doggo. The Stoutland squinted a little, but as Orion shifted his hand to pet him, he allowed it. “Don’t approach to quickly,” Orion warned. “But yeah…”

Orion snickered softly as he continued to pat the dog Pokemon. From the corner of his eye, he watched Niso move and then went back to looking over this pack. Yes, he was sure any moment they would just relax and let him through and— Ah fuck. That was several of them running after Niso and the rest glaring up at him viciously. Fuck.

“Paws,” The Lycanroc rushed forward with an Accelerock and demolished several of them. A Houndoom came lunging up at Orion, but he raised a kick and managed to hit it in the throat. “Arceus damn it Kid!” Orion called bursting through the pack and starting to run. The Lycanroc attacked a couple more times before running after his trainer. They could probably outrun most of these dogs so long as they found a—

That was Orion skidding and tripping on the wet floor and being slammed into by his own Lycanroc and a series of other dog Pokemon. Ugh… ow… really? Really? Shoving himself and Paws up, he gave a couple more orders for them to keep moving and as they ran through down into another room, Orion slammed a door right behind Paws.
