Incinium-Z? Orion's lips quirked a little as he looked over the crystal again. Well, that made a lot of sense color wise (though maybe if he were designing it some black and red would have made more sense, hah). Before he could say much more, however, Orion found himself watching Mia move and describe the Z-move's power. Huh. "Ya know, I'm really surprise it's not a Fighting Type given its body and mannerisms," he mused thoughtfully. "I actually have one as well, so I'll need to test that out." Orion mumbled almost as an after thought. Cena could probably appreciate some exclusive power, right? Heh.
There was an interesting thought, though. "Do you train a lot of Pokemon outside of your Gym Type?" he asked, starting to slowly look around again. "I don't really have a preferred Type myself." Not unless Dog or Fish was inherently a Type. He was on a mission to collect Every Water Type that Veria could throw at him, but that had only come after realizing how many he already had, heh. Might as well be a fishing master at that point, yeah? Or open an aquarium.

Mia nodded along with a light shrug, scratching at the side of her neck. "Yeah is a bit of a bitch that they ain't fighting types. Fury would love to fight in my gym sometime but the rules just don't allow it. Shame too, he's got the energy for it too? Real big show off and likes the theatrics like Lucha does." With another shrug she tossed the deep sea scale between her palms before pocketing it and started walking with Orion again, peering at him over her shoulder before dipping back to stay in pace with him.
"Not too many really. I got a couple 'o mounts. Harley, Davidson. Captain too, he's my Braviary." She thought a little more, tapping her chin as she walked. "I have had more time to train others since i maxed out my fighting types though. Usually I focus on ones that look tough like Rhyperior or Feraligatr, but recently I started training a sliggoo too!~ Bit of a bouncy fella but packs a surprising punch. Might head down to one of the open arenas sometime and see if I can use some of my non-fighters in a match or two. Test 'em out and all that!~"
Leaning over, she lightly nudged Orion, trying to keep some light conversation going. "You even battle much? Nik said you work ranches or some shit. Must be a peaceful life compared to the shit you used to dive into eh?"

As the humans started moving again, their light source did as well, ebbing along a little further behind as a couple of the rocks caught his eye now and again. No of course he wasn't absent minded. How rude of anyone to accuse him of such a thing!
Orion would try to keep up with the names but didn't really have the intuitive faces to put them to. Still, he nodded along with Mia's words, a small snort resounding from him as she mentioned focusing on the ones that looked tough. Heh, made sense. The thought of heading to one of the open arenas had him smiling a little weaker considering his last expenditure at such establishments, heh~
With the question redirected to him, however, Orion paused briefly. Mia… was now possibly aware of Marcie's associates and activities (or maybe he could hope she didn't still but what is cynicism these days if not that?), and he had to wonder if that was a loaded or more genuine question…. "…I do battle quite a bit," he finally answered. "Can take a dog out of a fight but can't take the fight out of a dog." He chuckled softly shrugging his shoulders. "It makes some decent cash sometimes and upsets the ten year olds now and again." He offered a wry grin at that before shrugging his shoulders.

Mia was in fact unaware of whether or not Orion did the shady work for Marcie. As far she she knew the woman just did Niso's accounts, any shadier stuff was completely off Mia's radar, kinda where she wanted it. Marcie probably knew not to fuck with Liggs if she did do any stupid crap given Mia knew who she was now, but if she slipped up, Mia knew right where to find her. Either way, as far as she genuinely knew and couldn't just assume, Orion was just a ranch hand, and it was kinda good knowing her had an outlet here or there, Mia smirking a little at his comments.
"Ah yeah hear ya there. I've been iiiitching to get back into my challenges now that Jazz's arm is all calibrated and stuff." It had been near perfect when gifted to her, but some subtler adjustments needed to be made to lock it into her own nerve patterns. "Just wanna get back in there, see an opponent coming at me with everything they got...." She clenched her fist a little without much rage behind it, just tightening the muscles as urges rose. "Ya know when ya just...really wanna punch something to let it all out? Been like that for months man."

Oh man, oh Pokemon, oh Arceus hahahah. "I know this feeling so well," Orion emphasized dramatically. Throwing a hand up in the air, he then bent and stretched it over the other shoulder. "There is nothing like a good fight." And a good kill. Wow, brain. It had… literally been months. Could you…. Not remind him of his more homicidal tendencies around someone he wanted to remain on vaguely neutral terms with? No. Hhhhhh. "Sometimes I spar the Pokemon just for the rush of knowing they'll always be stronger…" Yeah, that was better, right? Right.
Hmmmm? Something was glistening in the wall, and Orion found himself stopping to stare at it. Was that an Evolution Stone or just a pretty rock? Heh. Forming a fist, he punched it pretty solidly off the wall sending it flying more than a couple steps away. "Whoops…" Heh. Wandering over to it, he bent down and fished it up again. "Oh, this is actually a stone stone heh…" Not particularly useful to him but useful to someone, yeah?

"Heh. Two fighty partners eh? How does Nik put put up with us? They can be quite a worrier ya know?" Smirking just faintly as she brought up Nik, she did genuinely wonder if they were majorly okay with the two of them. As much as they seemed to almost shut down seeing her arm, apparently they'd been in the hospital enough month to the point it just felt hard to pull the strength out to just...'care'? Eh. She was processing that terrible mentally but all the same, between her and Orion it musta been hard being Nik sometimes.
Eyes tipping across as Orion found something, Mia ducked down and caught an excess stone that came from the one knocked from the wall, smirking and holding it up, tossing it between her palms. "Well seems we got a matching pair at least. Could probably fork it off on someone to at least get us enough for a beer..." She started walking again, peering over her shoulder. "Speaking of, fancy a drink once we're done here? Havn't been to a bar since the injury so it'd be nice to go out." Plus...a small part of her still didn't want Orion in her house, as chill as he seemed to be coming off.

How the hell did Nik put up with them, honestly? How do they put up with me specifically. A small laugh resounded from Orion at Mia's commentary. "Think it's in her nature," he answered a bit lamely. There had to be something that drove them to tolerate all his bullshit, after all. Hard to believe… And yet his thumb twirled the ring on his finger in assurance.
The matching pair, however, had him smirking a little dryly. "Double Moon Moon So intense," he answered with this stupid meme grin that lasted maybe a second too long before falling again. The offer had him glancing forward shrugging his shoulders. "Sure, I can always go for a drink or two." Or three. Or four. Or five. Or a bottle. Or two bottles. No, no he was not an alcoholic his brain was just being an asshole clearly.
But then, of course, he remembered the bar game and then the birthday game. "Maybe line up some solo cups and throw ping pong balls in them too." He shrugged briefly before looking around slowly.

Yeah Orion was right, whether for better or worse that was just the kind of person Nik was. It was to their determent sometimes but...yeah. She wouldn't change 'em for the world. At the double moon moon comment, she snickered and gave Orion a light nudge with her elbow. "Godammit Moon Moon references. Still funny.~ A drink sounds good though." She took a moment to recognize what Orion was talking about with the cups, but gave a light snicker as it finally became clear.
"Ya know, I've never played beer pong? That's the game right?" She shrugged and smirked. "Sounds like a bit more of a colledge frat boy game but I'm willing to give it a try...actually Karla's played it, I know that much..." She snickered a little at the thought of Karla getting invited to frat guy parties. "Sorry er...Karla's my sister.~"

Mia'd never played beer pong? Orion found that almost hard to believe given what he knew of her, but hey first time for everything, yeah? As she named her sister, however, Orion committed the name to memory or later. "She a university student?" he asked nonchalantly following up on that thought. He'd never considered nor desired to attain his high school diploma let alone go further than that, but remembering some people did was always vaguely interesting.
It would be the Rapidash that caught sight of something reflective in the wall again. Pausing to neigh, he caught Orion's attention and had him looking back. Hm? Oh, he'd nearly missed something, had he? Stepping back over to it, Orion felt the stone and slowly pulled it out. Oh Fightium-Z. He had this one, of course, but considering they were in Liggs, it'd probably be easy to sell yeah? Heh, yeah. "Thank you," he murmured briefly to the Rapidash who preened a bit at the thanks.

Mia smirked and shook her head at the question. "Close but no cigar. She actually graduated 2 years ago. She works for a local paper now!~" She smirked with a sense of weird pride. Sure she may have been the city's gym leader but Karla always wanted to work in journalism and stuff so it was good to brag about her sister doing what she wanted. "I give her the odd 'exclusive' to help her along, but she's the only one in the family to go beyond High school all the way through university. Heck I didn't even push halfway through High school." She smirked with an odd sense of pride at that despite the fact she probably shouldn't see it like that.
As Orion found his own trinket, Mia caught her foot on a gem she'd spotted pocking out the ground, lifting her leg up and yoinking the gem up into the air, catching it and quickly pocketing it. "You wanna start headin back?~"

As Mia bragged of Karla, a weird kinship resounded in Orion. So, he wasn't the only one not to finish high school, heh. With how rough Liggs was, that wasn't too hard to believe, yet it was easy to be blinded by his own shame rather than look around. His lips quirked a little, and a small nod was given back at Mia. "Sure," he gave a small head gesture to his Rapidash to turn and follow before starting back that way.
Both arms reached and set behind his head. "I'm 'n only child, but Jazz was always at our house growing up." He chuckled briefly, dryly. "Was weird learning you knew him so well right up to Christmas." And yet… knowing Jazz had any kind of friend close enough to give him a fucking motorcycle as a present was… relieving, almost? Heh, weird.

Mia rested her hands in her pockets as the two began to walk, offering Orion a light smirk as he went on about his own past, smirking a little brighter at the mention of Jazz. "Ah he's a good guy, he helped me fix a motorcycle once and I took 'em for a ride, we kinda hung out regularly since...but er..." She gave an awkward shrug, not really sure how to say this without sounding like too big a prick. "Then he took that chroma cookie and...suffice to say the dynamic of our relationship changed...I still wanted to be friends but I guess I didn't react too well and he took it a bit hard..."
She gave a light shrug, and lifted her head. "I'm glad we're friends again though...he's a good guy."

Huh, so that was where Jazz went when he was 'out with friends' or whatever conventional text he threw out now and again. That made more sense now in context- Not that he clearly needed it given how many months he'd gone without it, but yeah. What came after, however, had his eyebrow quirking a little. "What did you say to him?" He guessed anyone would be surprised if a friend decided to make the change out of presumably nowhere, but- Man, if she made Jazz cry or some shit- Eh, not like it mattered too much now if they were still friends after it. Still vaguely interesting, he guessed, and it wasn't like he could take the question back now or anything.

Mia's head rolled back on her shoulders as the question came. She...she hadn't said anything BAD but she still felt like a dick in retrospect even if nothing would have changed the way she felt. The best answer was the honest answer though, she just...had to deliver it right.
"I said the exact same shit I said to Nik when they came over after their cookie. That it was a shock, and some warning might have been nice." She glanced off to the side and started to rotate her right shoulder to loosen it up a bit, pushing her left arm against the shoulder. "Just...I had a certain type of relationship with him, and then he changed the dynamic and expected me to have an instantly good reaction but...it was a shock ya know? You can't process that shit and put on a smile when someone rocks up on your doorstep and says 'I do or do not have a dick now'. I mean of course I'm happy for him but...I told him I needed some time to process it and adjust, and then he just...never got back in touch with me..."
