Staring out at the numerous floating ruins around her, her eyes glazed over some, Kris drew in slow and steady breaths. She needed some time out and some time alone, and this place was convenient if nothing else. What am I going to do? It was a thought that flipped and flopped around in her mind like a slippery wet fish. Can I even… salvage anything? Her mother had been furious with her performance. Her father had been vaguely indifferent. Her Pokemon were in different states of concern.
But this was not what bothered her. She had dealt with these things, could deal with these things. No, it was the vision that had flashed before her mind's eye like lightning. Monsters… She had had dreams like that before, but nothing so real and vivid as that. They're… they have to be real… And yet she doubted herself, feared herself. Was this some sort of power surfacing? And if so? Why? She'd looked into it, really, but nothing said anything about monsters. There had been concerns about Slakoth sightings but…
Kris's eyes closed shut, and she took in some shaky breaths. A light flashed, however, and a small friend had reappeared. The Ralts smiled holding up what he had found for her!

Kris's eyes flickered again as a noise reverberated form the Ralts, and for a moment, she stared only vaguely remembering that she had sent him out along with others to look over their particular island. Shifting her curled form flat into a crisscross, she leaned forward and cupped her hands. The Ralts was quick to set the Thunder Stone in her hand and looked up briefly as if hoping something would change. The girl's features lightened for a moment, and she gave a small nod at him and a "Thank you…"… But after that, she just sort of laid back against the wall of the building again. The Ralts sighed weakly and crawled into her lap, allowing her to feel over the skull cap slowly. Maybe one of the other Pokemon would bring her something that would make her smile again. Maybe…

Shortly after that, one of the Espurr that had been released to wander the island, Daisy, was coming back with her own found treasure as well. She wanted to make her trainer feel better too! Any way she could! Thus, as she'd searched around, she tried to be as selective as possible with what she brought forward.
The Ralts, meanwhile, was more or less being force-fed all the worries and woes of the child whose lap he sat in, and even his usual calm, methodical, and resolute emotions were vaguely starting to break down. Kris wasn't the happiest of people at baseline, but at least she tried to be peppy most of the time. This… this just made him sad. On seeing what the Espurr had, however, he tapped his trainer a couple of times to get her to look up. Golden eyes blinked a couple of times before slowly raising.
A…. oh. One of those Mega Evolution spheres? Or maybe it was just a shiny object. It was hard to tell even as she held her hand out to take it. The Espurr mewed softly dropping her head and hoping for pets. Kris gulped but raised a hand obliging for now.

A small ruffle of fur, and the Espurr was off to search for more shiny things in hopes of brightening her cute trainer's day. The Ralts couldn't decide if he wanted to stay or go, but after a bit of debate, he decided to teleport for a short bit and hopefully find something of use as well. Meanwhile, yet another Espurr, this one named Rose, came back again with a shiny trinket for their small human. Holding up a crystal that was very much Normalium Z without Kris actively recognizing it, the Espurr mewled lightly. Kris's eyes raised, and her hand slowly extended to accept the gift. Her mind, however, remained elsewhere as it was.

It would inevitably be the Ralts who actually found the last item. His teleportation skills made him far superior to others when it came to finding things. Still, some part of him was becoming aware that part of the reason Kris was sending them out to search was to… stay away, give her some time to think, really. It worried him some. He still didn't exactly know what was 'wrong'- nor did anyone else. The only one who seemed to have any inclination was Elise, and she was keeping such thoughts to herself. Sigh. Coming back again with a treasure in hand, the small Ralts did his best to appear confident at least. Kris smiled a bit weakly and took the Waterium-Z. "Thank you…" Yeah.
