The islands and their mysteries had drawn Kris’s interests yet again. She’d been practicing, training, performing quite a bit recently, but now it was time to take a break and center herself so to speak. What a soothing place this had become for her. What a place of uncertain reflection. Little noise but much sight. She never did tire of it.
She’d Teleported up with the help of her Gardevoir, deciding on one of the highest islands on the off chance it was the least explored. Said island, however, was overgrown in a way that few were, and the minute she stepped down, Kris was aware that she needed to be careful. Returning her Gardevoir for now and focusing on her surroundings, she released a Starmie that quickly shinned in the densely packed grove. Now then, what would they find?

They proceeded on for a while, searching about carefully. It would be in the glow of the Starmie that Kris caught sight of an almost reflective surface nearby. Walking over to the fork in the tree root, the girl bent down to examine the item that lay there. The blue hue and familiar shape of it, however, was as distinct to her as ever, however. This was a Comet shard. Fishing it up rather quickly, she examined it a bit closer. “Woah…Heh beautiful.”
She was quick to pocket it and turn, ready to keep going— only to stop and find that her Starmie had stopped as well and was bending over some other tree roots. Hmmm??? Walking over to find a few berries in the mix, Kris beamed again rather quickly. “Oh! Maybe we can save these for later.” They could always eat them as a snack or maybe use them to lure wild Pokemon out. Either way, she’d keep them for now.

They moved along coming to the banks of a riverbed. “Do you want to—“ Kris wouldn’t even get to finish her sentence before the Starmie went flying at the water, landing in it with a big splash. Kris blinked several times in rapid succession before slowly giggling and shaking her head. “Swim around for a bit! I’ll be ok!” she encouraged slowly shifting to sit down at the riverbank. The Starmie was more than willing to take up that proposition and disappeared deep under the water.
It was there, however, that the Water Psychic would register a rather interesting find. A Psychic would pull it up from the depths and soon enough both were coming to the surface again. Kris blinked on seeing it and hesitated a moment before accepting it. “This… looks like a Water Stone…” she registered before slowly smiling. “Thank you!” The Starmie’s core shined brightly in response.

The Starmine shined brightly, pleased to see that the girl accepted and liked its gift. Diving back down into the water, it searched again for any interesting sparkles. Kris, meanwhile, shifted a little and put the stone in her bag for now. It was as she was doing so, however, that something in the shallows caught her eye. Bending down and dipping her hand in, she fished out a handful of strange berries. Huh. Well, that was nice? This area seemed rather plentiful.
It took a little longer for the Starmie to surface again, but as it did so, it had yet another item in tow. Kris blinked on seeing it before slowly smiling. “Another Water Stone? Thank you,” she mused softly patting the star Pokemon.

The Starmie preened as the girl pat it again and once more dived down into the river to search. It was gone so much longer this time, however, and as she waited, Kris finally got up and started searching the area as well. It was there that she found a small sphere, one she knew well enough now but was still unaccustomed to seeing out in the middle of nowhere. Fishing up the Charizardite X, she was vaguely aware of what it was but still unsure of how it could have possibly gotten there. A small, uncertain smile curled on her lips as she pocketed it for now and walked back to the riverside.
What she would find was her Starmie waiting patiently. It had found… some more berries? “Oh! Great work! We can bake these into some treats,” Kris assured taking them. She distantly wondered if one of the servants could teach her to bake or something. Hmmmm food for thought later.
