A bright yellow ball of light floated near him. LaCruex pouted for a moment and then sent out Marine. He ordered the Mareanie to Pin Missle the floating orb and she obliged, striking the ball with three set of needles. It turned in mid air and appeared to curl tightly around itself. Another pout, another command only this time for Liquidation. The Minior stumbled in mid air and hit the ground. LaCruex blinked, pondering how easy a battle that was. He heard something rustling so he had to act fast. He tossed a Pokeball at the Minior and turned to face whatever was about to jump out at him.

Battle Summary
Marine(Mareanie) used Pin Missle. Minior(yellow) used Defense curl. Marine used Liquidation and defeated the Minior.

A pair of pink Pokemon appeared. The larger, fluffier one seemed more cautious and refused to approach LaCruex or the jiggling Marenie. The smaller more fairy like one however went straight for the battle and shown a spotlight upon itself. Weird, but LaCruex liked weird. But not this weird fairy that kind of reminded him of the Cleffa he had at him right now, helping Walter with chores and whatnot. Marine didn't like the bright light straight in her eyes so LaCruex commanded a Venoshock, hoping to put a stop to that nonsense.

The bright light stayed right on Marine, but the Clefairy was now covered in a poisonous purple sludge. To LaCruex's confusion, it looked way more hurt by that then he would've expected. Almost like it was weak to it or something. He didn't recall Clefairy being weak to poison when he was growing up. Course, his memory is a bit haywire so he just chalked it up to that. He ordered a Liquidation to clean off the Clefairy and Marine did as she was told, with a malicious grin as she did so.

The Clefairy fled quickly after that, forcing the other Pokemon to come out. It looked like it was hit with some splash over from the Venoshock from before and didn't seem all that impressed. The Pokemon threw an egg at him. It was orange and he managed to catch it. The Blissey huffed and tossed another egg, this time striking Marine. She responded with a jab of poison. The Blissey squawked angrily before tumbling over. Marine used a Liquadation and sent the Blissey splashing over. LaCruex responded quickly, tossing an Ultra Ball at the egg shaped Pokemon. Was a rare find and would be a heck of a lot easier then trying to train a Happiny or a Chansey, after all.

Battle Summary
Clefairy used Spotlight. Marine(Marenie) used Venoshock followed by a Liquidation and caused Clefairy to flee.
Blissey used Egg bomb on Marine. Marine used Poison Jab on Blissey then Liquidation.

Ball in hand, LaCruex looked at the bear that had appeared, stick from the confections at the festival. He really didn't feel a sticky bear would go over well at the cabin. And he had to shoo it off somehow. And that meant fighting it. With Pokémon, as the various notifications he had received on his Pokenav thing made sure to remind him. Constantly.
He sent out Easter, a light purple Nidoran of the female variety. She was eager to fight, bouncing to and fro. LaCruex commanded a Bite and she went and bit the sticky sweet bear. Who yelled and attempted to fling one of the sticky things on it at Easter. Didn't really do much but effort was made. She let him go and LaCruex commanded a Double Kick, thinking that would be a good move to weaken the bear with. Instead, Easter kicked the bear not once, not twice, not even three times, but FIVE times.
LaCruex looked at her, then at the bear now knocked out and now he had a decision to make. Great. He just loved making decisions on the fly. Bear, knocked out. Nidoran, celebrating her win. He sighed and tossed a Pokeball at the defeated bear, hoping somebody out there wants a sticky bear.

LaCruex turned around, the odd noise catching his attention. He stuck the ball in his pocket, making a note to send it off when he was free. The source of the noise was right in front of him. Luckily it appeared more interested in cutting everything around it, and LaCruex has so far gone unnoticed by whatever that thing was. He admits he doesn't know all the "New" pokemon and knows better than to try and fight one he knows nothing about. So, he did the logical thing and sent out Walter. Pokeball laws being what they were, Walter was less than thrilled to have to be in a Pokeball when not fighting, his mustache twitching in agitation.

LaCruex pointed at the whirling blades cutting everything in its path and grinned at Walter. Walter rolled his eyes, knowing what LaCruex wanted. Wanted him to read the Pokemon's mind, tell him it's weaknesses and then find some way to catch it. Focusing, Walter was. At a loss. He'd never in all his years encountered such strange thoughts. Well, not thoughts but like the feeling behind them was downright alien. It was hard to understand the creature's thoughts. He was able to decipher enough to get a general feeling of the beast.

"That is not a Pokemon," Walter "said", the thought sent straight to LaCruex's mind.
"What do you mean?" LaCruex asked.
"It calls itself an Ultra Beast," Walter replied. "It seems to be made of metal and is obsessed with cutting trees. From what I could tell."
"What do you mean from what you can tell?" LaCruex asked, concern in his voice.
"I mean, it's so alien I was lucky to get that much," Walter growled. "Renoir Jack is your best option in this case. Good luck. Master"

With that, Walter went back into his Pokeball, not wanting to witness whatever his trainer had planned. Something stupid, no doubt. LaCruex, now without his guide pouted. He did what he was told however and the large black and red bird flapped his wings and stared right at where the slashing metal dervish was. And now, to wait for the not a Pokemon to notice them.
