Serafeyna Carroll It had been a few days since Nik had left on his little trip. Mia hadn't even gotten much chance to see him since their phone call from the hospital, not that she knew that last part anyway. A small dinner was and some lazing about on the couch was all she managed to grab before he sneaked off to Era. Between that, and with Astrid finding a new place and Aela managing to stand on her own two feet now (with regular check ins from the League at least) Mia was, admittadly, feeling oddly lonely. Not that she didn't still have Vesta, her pokemon, her family and her old drinking buddies, but...okay she legit didn't have a reason to feel lonely at all, but she did. Maybe it was just that she'd been overloaded on it with the number of people living in her house, but now she was feeling like she almost missed the constant noise and nuisances. Not about to beg Astrid to move back in for a bit, she decided to try and catch up with another pal she felt she hadn't seen in a while. ...Where they pals? Eh. She thought so, but Nik kinda proved she made friends way too easily some times. Then again from what little she knew about the girl, so did Sera, so it probably did no harm to assume some friendship between the two. Having called Sera up to arrange to go digging again, Mia was resting her ass on a small fold out table that always stood by one of the entrances to the mines, wearing some cargo pants and her usual tube top with some thick soled boots for the treck into the mines, a small bucket with some light mining tools resting on the floor beside her, the blonde flashing the rather gruff looking bear of a man behind the table a cheeky smirk as he gave back a borderline playful, but still stern glare.
"You know I have business to do right bombshell?"
"Oh please, if anything I'm attracting customers. Besides I'm like, a quarter of your business bringing you all my shiny gems god-pop~"He gave a light grumble and ruffled her hair, bringing a snicker from her before she lifted her eyes back up to keep an eye out for Sera.

It really had been too long since Sera had hung out with just-Mia. She'd come over to Niso's with Nik a few times (maybe more than a few? Sera might have lost count) and it was nice seeing her then. But she couldn't remember if she'd seen her without Nik and/or Niso since the first time they'd gone treasure hunting like this. This ought to be fun, though. Sera hadn't been getting out as much, and Mia was (almost) always fun.
Spying the blonde up ahead, she waved, coming up with her Mudkip and Shiny Blaziken in tow. "Heyaaaa~! Ready for an adventure~?"
Flash fought not to roll his eyes too hard and smirked slightly. It probably wasn't so much an 'adventure' for someone who grew up in these mines, but he wouldn't think that at Sera directly. This time.
Tank just smiled up at their new companion as they drew closer. He'd seen her before when she came over, but he couldn't recall if they ever met face to face.

Lifting up an arm as she spotted the easily recognizeable of her company for the day, Mia kicked off the edge of the table, to which her god-father instantly began to wipe it down with a clothe, giving a fake huff as she put her fists against her hips. "You calling me dirty?~" The two shared a brief smirk before Mia turned back to Sera, picking up her bucket of supplies and walking over, notably not wearing her bracelets today as she tossed out a pokeball, her Rhamparados taking up a fair bit of space beside her as he gave a cheerful cry to be let out.
"Hey Sera!~ Guess so!~" Snickering a little at her eagerness for "adventure", the Rhamparados pumped up his own arms, knowing he'd come in pretty handy for their little search for the day, glancing down between the Mudkip and the Blaziken, waving at each of them. Mia had told him this trainer she'd met before, but given he was a fairly new addition to her team this was a fresh meeting for him. Mia herself gave Flash a brief wave before sharing a glance with Tank, vaguely recalling Sera had such a pokemon but never having really "met" them personally.
"Can't say dark caves are much of an adventure these days but I'm sure we'll make one of the trip." With a cheeky smirk she gestured over herself briefly before cheekily commenting. "More impressing than overalls?~"

Sera snickered a bit at Mia's callback. "I dunnooo, you did manage to rock those overalls surprisingly well," she teased. Of course, Sera was actually pretty indifferent toward them at best, but it made for a mildly amusing bit of banter.
Turning her attention up to Mia's new Pokemon, she smiled and cooed, "And who's this big fella, huh~? Haven't seen you before, cutie." Flash fought a slight smirk. Only Sera's first impression of a Rhyperior would be 'cute', hehe.
Once either he or Mia answered, she'd greet him properly by name before chiming in, "Anyway, I'm ready to go whenever you are~"

Mia chuckled a bit at Sera's cheeky comment, she diiiid manage to pull off overalls better than most, or maybe that was just her ego talking~ Whatever the case, she'd take the playful tease in stride with a cheeky grin of her own, Sera catching her off guard a little at the faint flirty comment aimed towards Rampardos, the large pokemon clearly blushing despite the dark color of his skin, leaning down from behind Mia and lightly whispering something to her, the blonde's handle on Poke'speak getting her just far enough to answer.
"Yes big guy, she called you the cutie~" Blushing a little deeper with how loud Mia pointed that out, he reared back and grumbled as he rested a hefty hand over his face, just beneath his horn to cover his eyes, Mia snickering back at him over her shoulder before rolling her eyes with a light sigh. "His name's Tank. Takes after Chezzers a bit but bit more punch to 'em~"
Picking up her supplies, she gestured with a roll of her shoulder for Sera to follow. "Lets' go!~"

Sera had just giggled and greeted the big Pokemon, then started to follow along with Mia. It was only when she told her own Pokemon, "C'mon guys, let's go~!" and then another second later that it hit her.
"Wait-- did you say Tank?" Well, no one ever said Sera was especially quick on the uptake. Hell, she had her current boyfriend and living situation because she hadn't been able to tell just from context that they were in a hostage situation at first, heh... heheha... ah...
With a small mental cue, her Mudkip rushed forward to walk a bit ahead of the girls and look back at them. "Mu-mud~?"
"This little guy is also named Tank," she informed them. "I know it's pure coincidence. I mean I've had him almost seven years now, if you count the time he still lived at home with mom after I left as me 'having him', heh. But yeah!"

Eyes shifting back to her little companion for this trip, Mia turned on her heels, rather casually walking backwards, her head leaning back into her hands as she cupped the back of her own head. "Yeah he's tank...why?" She quirked her brow, not too sure what was going on till the little mudkip ran ahead of them, spinning back around, somehow managing not to trip as she walked backwards...though given she ran through here blind the other day it wasn't too difficult in comparison.
Letting out a light chuckle as the naming coincidence was explained, Mia crouched down to look the Mudkip closer in the eye, humming as she tapped her own chin, thinking on it for a moment, or at least pretending to. "Well...how about to avoid confusion...you're Tank 1, and big guy back here is Tank 2?"
The Rhyperior gave a light huff at that, but with Mia rising back to her feet she swiftly shrugged with her explanation of. "Hey, apparently this little one was Tank first, so Tank 2. Cool?~" The Rhyperior still gave a light huff, but it was clear he had no real objection, Mia giving a cheeky chuckle at his little reaction before starting to walk again, eyes shifting back to Sera. "So you said you left him with your mom huh? Were you part of that weird 'leave the house at the age of 10' craze?"

Sera's Tank blushed a bit a smiled sheepishly as Mia declared him Tank 1. Heh.. Even if he was older he wouldn't have minded being Tank 2, if Bigger Tank wanted to be Tank 1. Oh, or-- He conveyed his thought to Sera, who conveyed to Mia, "Oh~ He suggests instead of numbers, they could be Big Tank and Little Tank?" Grinning, she noted, "Thought that won't be AS clear once he evolves, but he'll probably still be a bit smaller, eh~?"
The question about leaving home had her rolling her eyes with a brief bitter laugh though. "I WISH. Dad didn't let me leave home until I was 18, and when I did I sort of just took a bag of clothes and my Skitty and left. I went back for some of my other pet Pokemon later when he wasn't home. Was nice seeing mom but yeah."

Mia chuckled a little at the idea of big and little tank, but at the thought of little tank being a venosaur... "How about tall and small tank. I mean, even fully grown a swampert still tends to rest on all fours so it ain't all that tall." She quickly pointed to small tank, smirking a little as she added. "No, the head fins don't count.." Tall tank gave a light chuckle at that himself, knowing Mia would say his horns didn't count if it was him, but a swampert's fin could make a good chunk of it's height.
As she went on to describe her home situation, Mia narrowed her eyes latching onto a piece of info. "Wait, when you were 18? I thought you weeeeere 18...did I miss a birthday or something?" She smirked just a little as the thought occurred, crossing her arms and continuing. "Bet Niso throws one hell of a party for a little nutter."

Mudkip-Tank tilted his head. He didn't see any real difference between 'little' and 'small', but human words could be funny sometimes? "Mud," he replied, his tone the verbal equivalent of a shrug. They could go with that.
Sera chuckled a bit at Mia's realization though. "Apparently~" she teased. "My birthday's summer solstice. And I didn't leave until a fair bit after my birthday, so I've only been on my own for a little over a year now."
She grinned. "Had only been a few months when I met Niso." And sometimes she really really wanted to know how dad would react if he knew the sort of person she'd so quickly gotten involved with, eheh. "We didn't do too much for my birthday, though. There was a contest I was doing and I wound up spending a lot of the day before that with a friend. Plus we weren't living together back--" She stopped short, realizing what she'd just said aloud. ... Fuck, that.. made it feel more real.

"Summer solstice huh? Heh, that's funny. Think Vesta said hers was on the winter Solstice..." She tipped her head back a little, resting her pickaxe on her shoulder as she tried to find the memory of that. She didn't remember the date of the winter solstice itself, but Vesta's birthday was clear enough...she had said they were the same day hadn't she? Yeah...yeah sounded about right. "Explains why she loves snow so much...so how old's Niso even? Ya know, ignoring the fact he dosn't age?"
Of course that question would go right out the fucking window at what Sera continued with, Mia grinning wide as she eased a little closer, bumping Sera's hip with her own, maybe forgetting the weight and height difference between the two, though it was up to Sera's writer how heavily that would affect Sera's balance. "Oooo.~" She began, smirking bright and giving the same noise a high school girl would hearing juicy gossip. "Livin' together huh?~ The little nut know about this?~"
